I came back from my bike ride today and went on Outlook to check my mail. And low an behold I saw this graphic asking me to connect my Outlook with my social media accounts. While I do like social media and play around on Facebook much more than I care to admit this is getting out of hand. My one sanctuary of peace and quiet plus the all powerful delete button is about to be invaded by social media icons and messages.

It is bad enough that Skype, Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger, Anti-Virus Updates, MS Updates have these little pop up’s in my lower right hand corner but now this? Social Media in Outlook? WTF? Talk about NOT getting anything done today. Maybe I should go into the lawn mowing business.
