Spiritual Marketing and Connecting on a Deeper Level

I recently read an article in 1to1 Media that provides insights on where we as marketers can go and further the causes that will make the planet a batter place for our children. This can be called green marketing, cause marketing and social responsibility.
What I mean be going deeper with the client is really connecting with them on a spiritual level. For example, if Saturn is returning some of their profits back to Habit for Humanity how cool is it that companies are really making a difference other than just giving profits back to share holders. Recently Sears did something similar for our troops and kept open their jobs and making available their benefits until they returned from Iraq or elsewhere.
I will go out of my way to give Sears my business even if they are not my preferred shopping provider.
