Google is coming out with a portable "friend connect" on Monday to allow all of us social networkers connect everything from profile and friend portability and move them from one social site i.e. Facebook to MySpace.  "Owning" the user profile is key from a marketing standpoint.  Having access and not having access to people and their interests can mean the difference between profit and loss.  It also means that users can save a bunch of time, hence adding value to the overall user experience.  This might not seem like a big announcement however it will have a huge impact in many areas.
