About.com is owned by the New York Times Company. In early 2007 the New York Times introduced New York Times Small Business Section which makes a lot of sense since small businesses are the backbone of the US Economy. About.com offers a full suite of content deep in many different subject areas. This past week they have alos entered into online advertising tapping a few industry veterans to do the writing for them, vs finding writers who write about online advertising.
